Black Tap NYC $15 Shake: GIANT MILKSHAKE BONANZA!

The wait for Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer in New York City can be long, and it's mostly because of their now famous $15 Shakes. Is the wait worth it? We teamed up with Irma Zandl of The Opinionator to see what all the buzz is about, and our answer is YES! These aren't your typical milkshakes. Each hand-crafted shake is made with precision with a jackpot of sweet ingredients that make each milkshake an edible work of art.

We tried The Cookie, Cotton Candy and Brooklyn Blackout (served with a sinful brownie). The Cotton Candy was the most stunning by far with a vanilla frosting rimmed glass to anchor all of the colorful confections. The shake itself tasted like a good ole fashioned strawberry milkshake loaded with tons of candy. We enjoyed The Cookie and Brooklyn Blackout more because their adornments were more substantial and delicious overall, and the chocolate shake in the Brooklyn Blackout was just divine.

At the end of the day, the Black Tap $15 Shakes are really just very well made milkshakes with gorgeous presentation. They are worth the wait and the price because they truly feel special and when food looks this beautiful, it seems to taste even better.
