We were excited to indulge in Nabisco's Soft-Baked Peanut Butter Flavor Creme Oreo Cakesters, fueled by our fondness for the original Oreo Cakesters and all things peanut butter-chocolate. However, our anticipation quickly turned to disappointment upon sampling these treats.
While the chocolate cake tasted like the original, it leaned towards the drier side. Additionally, the peanut butter flavor creme failed to meet expectations, delivering more of a dirt-like taste than the anticipated nutty goodness. The outcome? A snacking experience akin to munching on potting soil, but not as moist.
We award Peanut Butter Oreo Cakesters 2 out of 5 stars. If you're in need of a snack cake fix, it's best to stick with the classics for now. Here's hoping Nabisco refines the peanut butter-chocolate combination in the near future!
